0n hearing ALKALAJ ISAK, trav. salesman, with a flat in Kralja Aleksandra Street No.128 / IV in Belgrade, born 12-1-1879, in Belgrade, father Aron and mother Sarah Born Eliazar, married, the father of three children, the religion Mosesian, of Jewish nationality, not previously punished nor convicted, of weak economic state, physically weak, subject of the former Kng. Yugoslavia, who stated the necessary questionnaire:
In Belgrade, I live since birth and I am a traveling salesman.
Two months ago, I was placed in a Jewish camp near Topovske šupe in Belgrade. Due to age and weakness, I was released after fifteen days from the camp to treat myself at home. While in the camp I was not assigned to work due to age.
On November 7th, I took out personal identification in the name of Ilija Aleksic from Vranje, so that under a fake name I could get somewhere and hide, and so I could lose trace of my stay.
This ID card was taken by a Vajs, a bank clerk who was constantly in the Alliance for Jews, and I paid him 126 for it because I did not want to give him more because I could not travel to Vranje. I did not know xxxxxxxxxxxxxx earlier, nor can I know how to deal with it now, but I could know it. The Weiss is about 35 years old, small in height, long nose, blue and thin.
I believe that this Weiss has acquired many false passports and passports for many, and that's all for money, but I do not know where and by whom. I recall that on this ID: "Officer III of the Quarter", but I do not remember the signature.
On December 12, I took off from Belgrade by train to Požarevac to continue the road Petrovac on Mlavi, but the railway from Požarevac for Petrovac did not settle for that I started off with the car and arrived in Petrovac at around 8 pm in the evening after the curfew. As we moved around the street after a curfew time I was arrested by the Serbian army and at the hearing, with them, I admitted that I traveled with a false identity card in order to be employed in Zagubica with a coffee shop as a coffee maker.
After two days I was taken to Belgrade, but I do not know what they did with my IDs and I had 1800 dinars in cash and one gold wedding ring and a pair of new ski boots.
All the things but the ID card, the money, the wedding ring and the ski shoes, were brought with me to the City Administration, what was with the rest is to me unknown. From Petrovac I was first taken to the Volunteer Command in Belgrade and then to the Administration.
This is my statement and all the words are in the same-faithfully recorded, in
Literate,
Alkalaj Isak
