about the hearing of Rosenberg Anita, children from Belgrade, with a flat in Njegspegoj ul. no. Va, by Ivan Marsalek.

I

My name is Anita Rosenberg, I was born on September 21, 1924, in Belgrade, from father Aleksandar and mother Jelena, born. Left, Jewish, Mosesian religion, unmarried, not convicted, police unpunished. Physically and mentally healthy.

II

On December 8 last year, I left the parental home in Gorničevska ul. 7, since those days authorities began to arrest and prosecute concentration camps of Jewish and Jewish children. At first, I was hiding behind various buildings, mostly in the construction of the VI men's gymnasium, at the Bulbulder Hospital in Gral, and then on a building near the school in Čukarica. During March, I met in Belgrade with Marta Fruhter also a Jew who I know from work at my father's factory in Gorničevska ul. no. 5, where she worked a shorter time after the war. At that time, I was often together with Marta and most of us were hiding in the morning, usually in the sewage pipes in Kosutnjak. During the conversation with Mart, we often talked about how we could get to the proper documents, and that we do not have to hide from the authorities. Marti also came to mind that we could go to some Christian religion and that with the help of baptisms, we make personal identification documents on Aryan names. So we went to the parish office of the Catholic Church in Čukarica and addressed the priest Andrew Tumpe to translate us into the Roman Catholic religion. However, the parish priest did not want to do it, as this was forbidden by the authorities. Since we had no other appearance, we within a few days again wrestled the pastor, but he refused us again. Then we asked him to help us in any way, and he promised to look for a possibility, and at the same time gave us 100 dinars for help. When we came to the priest Tumpe the next time, we also mentioned the possibility of issuing false refugee IDs and he asked us for one photo to try something from that side. When we came to the priest for a week, he gave us a refugee ID, and this is in the name of "Branka Marković" and Marti in the name "Jelica Stojanović", as we had agreed at the previous meeting. Župnik Tumpei did not request us no reward for the service rendered in obtaining this legitimacy is, nor did we give it to us in any way.

Since we got refugee IDs to the Aryan names, Jelica traveled one day without a travel announcement to Zabrežje and hence returned with the publication of the Municipal Administration, based on which she received the registration list in the district and later she became employed. Seeing that in this way the issue of lodging an apartment in Belgrade could be resolved, and on May 18 this year I traveled to Zabrežje, where I presented to the Municipal Administration that I was traveling from Belgrade without a road trip because I was hurrying to the road, my return was impossible without a travel announcement, and I pray that the Municipal Administration issue a travel notice to me. The municipal administration issued my travel announcement, and at the same time, I registered with the apartment in Zabrežje. On May 19, I traveled again to Zabrezje, because I had a publication that was valid for the return, so I again took a new road notice, because the old one has been published. With that announcement I came to Belgrade, where I found a job with Ivan Marsalek in Njegoševa ul. no. 28a, as a teacher of his child. Later, on the basis of a refugee ID card and residence permit, I received an ID card in the U.B. personal ID section, also in the name "Branka Markovic".

That's all I have to say about my work from the day I went into illegality to arrest. I am adding that I was forced to this from the fear of arrest and placement in the camp and that nothing else led me to go into illegality. For all my time, I had nothing to do with the communist organization in Belgrade or anywhere else, as before, and I do not know any person that it is communist-oriented. I did not personally support the Communist principles, nor were I members of an illegal organization.

The examination is read to me and my words are verbally written.
