The Nazi Party Rally Grounds in Nuremberg as a hub of forced labour deployment in northern Bavaria
At the Symposium in Nuremberg, Lessau presented her research on the use of the Nazi Party Rally Grounds, as a large-scale camp for the prisoners of war. Between 1939 and 1945, several hundred thousand soldiers from different countries were held captive at this camp and subjected to forced labour either in Nuremberg or other cities in northern Bavaria. The camp was also the hub for civilian forced labourers.
