The symposium has brought together\u00a0international historians and experts in the field of history and forced labour during the Second World War. The aim of this event was to shed light on the period during which slave labour, which often resulted in the death of the prisoners, was an integral part of the economic policy of the Third Reich and its allies<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px; text-align: justify;\">In addition to a general reflection on the issue of forced labour in Serbia in the period 1941 - 1944, the panellists from Serbia and abroad have discussed the role of collaborators, the Holocaust, forced labourers from Serbia and Yugoslavia in Germany and Norway, their repatriation, Sajmiste concentration camp and Todt organization in Belgrade. The symposium also included presentation of the work of the <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"http:\/\/voestalpine.com\/zeitgeschichte\/en\/Museum\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Voestalpine Museum from Linz<\/em><\/a><\/span>,which hosts a permanent exhibition dedicated to forced labour, as well as the project <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.zwangsarbeit-archiv.de\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>\u201cForced Labour 1939-1945, Memory and History\u201d<\/em><\/a><\/span>\u00a0which, in addition to historical data, offers a rich archive of interviews with survivors, and educational materials for high schools.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pgc-64-1-1\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-64-1-1-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"2\" ><div class=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\">\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<hr \/>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;
